Happy New Year! We thought we'd have a bit of a Jan sale!

 During January we are offering our excellent, well resourced, one day courses in fused glass at an amazing £59! That's a saving of £6 per course. Already better value than most other courses including Adult Education and Summer Schools, we think you'll find our courses well structured and informative as well as being loads of fun, friendly and informal. Kirstie Allsopp, as part of her Homemade Home series for Channel 4 had a go at fused glass at a studio in South London. We've had loads of new students come to us to have a go themselves as a result. Who are we?


Glass Jewels is run by my partner Sue, and I. She's the artistic one, I just do the website, and make the tea! Sue makes her amazing glass pieces in float glass with numerous inclusions as well as using many techniques to achieve texture and relief.

She exhibits her work about three times a year and teaches great courses in the subject. In between she looks after our four year old daughter.

 

  

 

Intermediate practice and design in float glass course.

This course is about using the skills and knowledge you already have to turn an ordinary piece you may have made as a beginner in to something rather more special!

It's the natural follow on from our 'Fusing with Float' course and you'll learn new techniques and work with new materials. It's worth a trawl through our blog here to find some pieces made on the intermediate course so far this year, some of them are pretty fab!
