Intermediate fusing with float glass

Your day with us runs from 10.00 untill 16.00 and starts just before 10.00 with coffee and some introductions, followed by some brief but essential health and safety.

This course is the next step on from our 'fusing with float glass' course. You'll already be familiar with cutting glass, the range of inclusions it is possible to put in pieces and you'll know what happens during a firing. This course is about using the knowledge and skills you already have to make an ordinary piece into an extraordinary piece. We'll guide you through the principles of design, working with colour and texture as well as providing you with some extra materials to play with. By the end of the day you will have a number of thoughtfully made pieces ready for firing and normally available within a week.

Our studio facilities are excellent and our teaching enviroment is relaxed, friendly and informal - as well as benefitting from beautiful views over ancient meadow land!
