This project was managed by ITHACA (an arts organisation working with people with disabilities), commissioned and supported by Vale of White Horse District Council, Abingdon Court Care Home and Carebase.
Fifteen sessions were held, by myself and Helen Jacobs, another artist, with the residents where they enjoyed a participatory arts experience working with felt making, weaving, painting, printing and clay, with their work informing the final pieces. This consists of two large panels, each made up of nine smaller panels hung in the foyer of the home. Each of the larger panels were made up of three metal and six glass panels. The glass in some had texture reflecting the clay work done by the residents whereas others had glass pockets that contained actual pieces of the residents weaving and felt making. The metal panels were based on designs taken from the colagraphs done by the residents.
